Salsa Dance Lessons
Salsa classes from beginner to advanced levels

We offer four levels of Salsa classes: Basics I, Basics II, Intermediate and Advanced. We also offer Kids Salsa.

Instructor: Barbara Capaldi.

Salsa Basics I:

For the beginner, this six-week session emphasizes lead, follow, and timing. This class will put you on the floor with club-savvy skills to make you look like a natural including turn combinations, cross-body-lead and enchufla, ladies inside turn to the left and “open shine” styling as well as turn technique.

Salsa Basics II

During this six-week session, continue to add turn patterns and continue to learn how to build combinations of patterns to enhance your style, timing, and variations in movement. Add enchufla combinations, check turn, spot turns, shadow check, "Coca-cola" and sombrero.

Basics classes are offered on:

Tuesdays 6:00pm – 7:15pm
Thursdays 6:15pm – 7:30pm
Saturdays 11:00am – 12:15pm 

Intermediate Salsa
Pre-requisite – elements of Salsa Basics I & II

This class is open to anyone who would like to continue exploring the most popular variations and styling of the most accomplished night club dancers. Each lesson begins with an intense warm-up including footwork and turn patterns used in the class as well as exciting “open shine” styling. It will accelerate not only your heart rate but also your skill and confidence.

The Intermediate Salsa class meets three times per week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Each Tuesday a new pattern is taught that builds upon the prior week's pattern; Thursday and Saturday are review classes. The price is the normal $10 for the first class but only $5 for any additional Salsa Intermediate classes you take that week.

An all-new pattern starts the week after any Salsa Basics II class graduates to accomodate the new students. This is the best time to get started or rejoin if you have missed more than a week.

Advanced Salsa

For the seasoned salsa dancer who would like the challenge of longer and more intricate turn pattern variations as well as more intense foot styling, multiple spins and dancing at a level which can also prepare them for professional level team formation dancing.
Tuesdays 8:30pm-9:45pm
